Family Guy 's sixteenth season premiered on Trick in the United states on October ane, 2017, and ended on May twenty, 2018.[1]

The series follows the dysfunctional Griffin family unit, consisting of father Peter, mother Lois, daughter One thousand thousand, son Chris, baby Stewie, and the family unit dog Brian, who reside in their hometown of Quahog. The executive producers for the sixteenth production season are Seth MacFarlane, Richard Appel, Alec Sulkin, Steve Callaghan, Danny Smith, and Kara Vallow. Sulkin returns afterwards a two-season absenteeism as the new showrunner for the serial, replacing previous showrunner Callaghan. Appel continues to serve as showrunner alongside Sulkin.

The season features guest appearances from Neb Maher, Sir Ian McKellen, Kristen Bong, Louis C.K., and Modern Family cast members Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, and Sofía Vergara.[2] [3]

Freeform and FXX began exclusively broadcasting the first xv seasons starting in September of 2021 when Family Guy officially went off Adult Swim.[6] [vii]
